FARMINGTON?HILLS (WWJ)?- The state has granted tax incentives to a video game producer that will put Detroit in a ghost hunting game on video screens across the country.? WWJ?s Sandra McNeill spoke with the game maker.
The X-Box and Play Station?3 games will put players in the seat of a ghost investigator at a fictional Detroit hotel called the Garrick Arms. CEO Nathaniel McClure of the game maker Scientifically Proven says the hotel will be located somewhere in the downtown, they haven?t decided yet,
?We?ve even developed a system that utilizes the consoles microphones that you can run EDP sessions since you can record ?ghost voices?, in your homes you can run investigation while you are playing the game as well, should be a ton of fun,? says
McClure moved to Farmington Hills from L.A. to start his company two years ago.
?We?ve hired from Michigan State, we?ve hired from Wayne, we?ve hired from CCS, U of M, the bulk of our employees are all born and bred Michiganders, and I brought in five guys from Los Angeles who are now new Michiganders,? said McClure.
The incentives amount to just over $400,000 dollars.
