Emily Maynard may still have a chance to find her reality TV Prince Charming! Though it didn't work out so well for the southern belle the first time around, the 25-year-old single mom is reportedly thisclose to becoming the next Bachelorette.
Maynard recently confirmed that she and Bachelor Brad Womack, 38, have split for good, after a tumultuous post-series romance. And now it looks like she'll have a whole new slew of suitors to choose from.
"She hasn't officially signed on yet, but it looks like a done deal," a source told Us Weekly.
Though Maynard originally shot down rumors that she was interested in being The Bachelorette, saying it was "the last thing on my mind," a source close to her says she's hoping to get a career in broadcasting out of the stint.
"She wants to be famous," the source says.
Well, it worked for former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, who scored fiance Roberto Martinez, a gig at Fox 5 San Diego, and a new Style Network hosting job.
But, in addition to furthering her career, sources say Maynard is looking to put her romance with Womack far behind her.
"He has issues, and you could tell from the start that it was never going to work with Emily," a pal said. "She gave it everything she had."
