Summary:
This position is responsible for evaluating the financial condition (including related credit risk) of existing borrowers, and prospective customers and businesses that are applying for credit with the bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform necessary credit analysis
* Spreading statements, forecasting, business and industry trends, financial guarantor analysis, etc.
* Recognize credit risks, present mitigating factors (if any), and offer appropriate credit solutions and structure, including covenant package and terms/conditions, etc.
* Incorporate the aforementioned into loan presentations (write-ups)
* Maintains and monitors the early warning system for problem loans, including risk ratings and borrowing bases.
* Manages the loan approval documentation process between lender, the Loan Committee, and the Board of Directors.
* Prepares problem credit reports.
* Reviews and reports discrepancies in the accuracy of the risk rating on individual credits.
* Responsible for the quality of the credit files for loan review and regulatory exams.
* Supervises advanced statement spreading and projections.
* Review legal documents prior to lender review
* Spread statements for Sioux Empire market
* Complete RE evaluations for Central Iowa market
* Appraisal review for Central Iowa market
* Assist Commercial Administrative Assistant with Loan Committee minutes
* Demonstrates personal commitment to excellence in sales and service to customers and other employees.
? Demonstrates customer service by managing difficult or emotional customer situations, responding promptly to customer needs, soliciting customer feedback for improvement and responding to requests for service and assistance
? Other duties and projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum five years? related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated proficiency in accounting or finance, with a sales aptitude. MBA or CPA, a plus.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to handle self in a professional manner under stressful circumstances with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should be prepared to perform significant portions of their work in a computer based work environment. They should have experience with:
* Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
