Clarksville competitors in the local Hershey Track and Field competition took their talents to the State level competition.
Clarksville Parks & Recreation report that local athletes who advanced to District and State level competition in the Hershey Track&Field Games have won honors in their competitions.
The State Hershey Track and Field Competition was held June 25 in Murfreesboro.? Two Clarksville competitors placed in the state level events.? Melanie Stevens took first place in both the 400 and 800 meter races, while Bethany Rich was first in the standing long jump.? Congratulations to both champions!
The first- and second-place athletes in the local competition, held May 14 at Kenwood High School, advanced to the District Hershey Track and Field Competition in Dickson where they were they advanced to the State Competition in Murfreesboro. Hershey Track and Field gives young athletes a chance to showcase their skills in track and field, long jump and softball throw.
