Wall St protesters march to prosecutor's office (AP)

NEW YORK ? The Occupy Wall Street protesters have marched to the Manhattan district attorney's office to demand an investigation into what they say was an "unprovoked assault" on a protester by police last week.

About 200 protesters marched Tuesday from the park where the movement against corporate greed began, some carrying signs that read "End NYPD violence."

Activist Felix Rivera-Pitre was seen on video being punched by an officer Friday. Police say the altercation occurred after the man tried to elbow the officer in the face.

The man's lawyer tells The New York Times prosecutors told him they're investigating the incident.

A small group of protesters joined Teamster workers and other union members in a rally earlier in the day outside Sotheby's auction house, where unionized workers are in a contract dispute.
